"Very few of the existing state-specific firearms laws are associated with reduced mortality, and this evidence underscores the importance of focusing on relevant and effective firearms legislation," said Sandro Galea, dean of the School of Public Health at Boston University, an author of the study.

"Implementing universal background checks for the purchase of firearms or ammunition, and firearm identification nationally could substantially reduce mortality in the U.S."

"Boston University"   Enough Said!!! :o

Penicillin was going to be a "cure all" too!!!

Cranking up "Ole Sparkie" would go a long way to increasing "mortality" of law abiding Citizens!!

One thing that liberals/socialist refuse to talk about, let alone THINK of is "Personal responsibility's"  :yike:

After liberals created gun-free zones in the 90s and the result has been many dozens of school and public building deaths, it amazes me that people think another gun control measure will finally make criminals stop killing people, especially in gun-free zones. I'm not sure why they keep pushing them. Also, the reintroduction of "Old Sparky" would have little effect, either. Wackos don't care about dying and criminals don't think they'll be caught. The death penalty as a deterrent isn't effective. As a punishment to remove psychopaths from society, so few are killed that it also has little effect. Make deep dark holes and throw them in. Less expensive and less controversial.

I'm unsure about the penicillin reference. I know that in military medicine, its invention lowered the rate of deaths due to infection a great many times.
"Restricting the rights of law-abiding citizens based on the actions of criminals and madmen will have no positive effect on the future acts of criminals and madmen. It will only serve to reduce individual rights and the very security of our republic." - Pianoman https://linktr.ee/johnlwallace https://valoaneducator.tv/johnwallace-2014743
